The auteur theory holds that a film by a director reflects the personal vision and preoccupations of that director, as if she or he were the work's primary "author"- taken from Wikipedia. We've been battling it out for months now over who the next big director of our generation will be. Since we can't come to that conclusion, let's just move on and agree that it's M. Night.
